(Direkt efter Rolands bortgång skickade Tuffs indiske partner, Bhikhu Vyas, följande):
When Koki and I went to greet ROLAND SHÜTT first time at his residence about two decades ago, the words coming from his mouth were: ' I love both of you - Koki and Bhikhu.' These words are still ringing in my ears, though Roland is dead. These were the uniform words coming from Roland's heart, when ever we met him, during the three joint visits of Sweden of Koki & me and four more visits of mine.
Roland came all the way to Petersens in 1992 [?], to show us the film - the best of the year in Sweden - based on his child - hood memories. What a gesture in modesty! What an affection!
When Roland was 70, he [ his friends & relatives] gave Koyata Balwadies a hand - pump.
When Roland was 80, he [ his friends & relatives] gave a well to a Dharampur village.
When Roland was 90, he [ his friends & relatives] gave a well to a Kaprada village.
I met Roland briefly in last May in Tyreso Centrum, when he was auctioning all the creations of his life. The income from the sale went to Tuff. His philosopher - like graceful face reappears in front of me. What a spirit! He was so alert and witty as always, all through - out the auction. I feel so satisfied from within, that I could meet and talk to Roland and attend that memorable function - perhaps the last one, during his distinguished carrier.
We have in our Bilpudi [Dharampur] office, the framed drawing of Roland, with broken gun and the momento:
MAKE LOVE - NOT WAR
Ake purchased the piece in the auction and gave away the same to me, as a present for Koki. Great!
Roland Schütt lived not only a long life, but lived a full life. He has gone, but he is in our hearts - ever; more so, his message of peace, love & brotherhood.
